SAT 1 Now thank we all our God,/with hearts and hands and voices,/who wondrous things hath done,/in whom his world rejoices;/who from our mother’s arms /hath blessed us on our way/with countless gifts of love,/and still is ours today.

SUN 2 Lord, we commit to you our Family Services today and pray for your Holy Spirit to inspire all who are leading and taking part. May the congregations and especially any young people find themselves spiritually enriched by the worship.

MON 3 Loving Lord God, we bring before you the people we know who are unwell, and pray that they, and the patients treated in our local hospitals and surgeries may know your healing touch. Please bless and guide the staff who care for them.

TUES 4 Lord, we ask for your blessing on all who live in Ashgrove, Chirk.

WED 5 Thank you, O God, for St. Mary’s Social Committee and all in our churches who organise and help at church events and fund -raising initiatives. Please grant them the time and energy and enthusiasm they might need.

THURS 6 TRANSFIGURATION Father in heaven, whose Son Jesus Christ was wonderfully transfigured before chosen witnesses upon the holy mountain, and spoke of the exodus he would accomplish at Jerusalem : give us strength so to hear his voice and bear our cross that in the world to come we may see him as he is; who is alive and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God now and for ever. FRID 7 Lord God, we give thanks for the people in our churchyard groups and their commitment and skill, and we ask you to bless them and their important work. We also ask you to bless and guide all attending St. David’s Committee meeting this morning.

SAT 8 We remember before you, Lord, the churches of the Offa Mission Area, their ministers and congregations and all who hold posts of responsibility in the Mission Area. Please guide and bless them in their plans and actions.

SUN 9 Thank you, Heavenly Father, for all who lead our Intercessions; may your blessing rest upon them as they seek to express your will and the concerns of the world and the community.

MON 10 Whom have I in heaven but thee? And there is none on earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever. Psalm 73 25-6

TUES 11 Let us pray for Bishop Gregory of the St. Asaph diocese, that God may grant him the wisdom and energy he needs in his work.

WED 12 O God, may your blessing rest on all who live along the Holyhead Road in Fron.

THURS 13 Almighty God, we pray for all in our local hotels, restaurants and cafes as they meet the needs of residents and tourists, and we ask you to encourage and bless them.

FRID 14 Heavenly Father, we bring before you all who might be thinking of Baptism, Confirmation or holding a wedding at one of our churches. We ask you to guide them and bless them in their journey of faith.

SAT 15 BV MARY We give thanks, Lord God, for the life of St. Mary and her example of her sacrificial obedience and commitment to you and your Son throughout her life. May we too show our love for you in our lives of service and worship.

SUN 16 Thank you, Lord, for those who deal with the refreshments at our church services and events, and who devote time and energy and money to this key aspect of our churches’ mission.

MON 17 Let us ask God to bless and protect all who work for the Fire Service in our local area and who provide such vital help and protection to those in need.

TUES 18 As the holiday season continues, let us pray especially for all travellers and their safety, and also for the people who long for a break away but because of circumstances cannot fulfil their dream.

WED 19 Loving God, we commit to you all carers, whether family members, friends, neighbours or professionals. Please grant them the strength, skill, compassion and patience they might need, especially where their own health or freedom is compromised, or they feel lonely and frustrated.

THURS 20 We pray, O Lord, for all who work at our local caravan sites and holiday parks, and for all their visitors.

FRID 21 A religion that is small enough for our understanding would not be big enough for our needs.Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tyre? Corrie Ten Boom writer and survivor of a concentration camp

SAT 22 Almighty God, we give thanks for Chirk Court and its staff and the wonderful work they do. Please bless them and the residents they care for.

SUN 23 O Lord God of justice and mercy, we commit to you all people who are in some way enslaved, who are exploited and denied freedom in any way. May they know they are loved and not forgotten and find relief and rescue from their misery. Please bless all who work to provide the help they need.

MON 24 ST BARTHOLOMEW Almighty and everlasting God, who gave to your apostle Bartholomew grace truly to believe and preach your word: grant that your church may love that word which he believed and faithfully preach and receive the same; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen

TUES 25 Let us pray for the well-being of the children and young people in the area, that they might have the support and encouragement they need, and let us also think of those soon facing a new school and a new life.

WED 26 Thank you, Lord for the staff and volunteers at Chirk Castle who provide visitors with such pleasure and help keep the buildings and gardens safe and attractive and their history alive.

THURS 27 Almighty God, we give thanks for the ministers and congregations of all the Chirk churches and ask you to bless and guide them in all they do. We pray for a happy and successful Ecumenical Pilgrimage to West Kirby today.

FRID 28 Ruler of the Universe , we pray for peace in your world, our world, especially for the victims of violence in places ignored or forgotten.

SAT 29 Let us give our Heavenly Father thanks for our families, friends and neighbours, that they might know his blessing, especially those who are experiencing sadness and difficulties.

SUN 30 On this Sunday, O Lord, we not only ask you to bless the members of our congregations but also any visitors attending our worship today: may the latter feel welcome and at peace.

MON 31 Let us pray for the success of any special events being held today, especially in our area.
