TUES 1  Heavenly Father, in the month ahead, we ask you to bless all who are part of our teams who have roles to play in the smooth running of our churches, whether in worship, fund-raising, community work and building maintenance. May they actively feel your love and support

WED 2  Thank you, O Lord, that you hear us all the time and respond with love, but we pray for all who find communication with the world difficult because of their poor hearing and perhaps feel isolated and out of touch.  We pray that they will find the support they need and that you will bless them and all organisations and hospital departments who seek to help the deaf.

THURS 3  O God, we pray that you will help the churches of the Offa Mission Area, their clergy and congregations , to flourish and to find and follow a clear way forward.

FRID 4 He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 2 Cor. 9:6

SAT 5  Thank you, Lord, for the helpful staff of Chirk Library: may they know your blessing and find pleasure and fulfilment in their important work.

SUN 6  Let us ask for God’s blessing on today’s Family Services and give thanks for all involved in their preparation. Let us also ask for His blessing on all who have organised and all taking part in the Towpath Trek for Nightingale House today.

M0N 7  Let us remember before God all who work in our local industries , and pray for their flourishing and for good community links.

TUES 8  Lord, we ask for your blessing to rest on all who live in Telford Drive, Chirk.

WED 9  Thank you, Lord, for Chirk AAA; we ask you to bless all who work there and those who enjoy the facilities.

THURS 10   Let us pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit at today’s Chirk Churches Together Committee Meeting  as members plan for future joint events, and also for guidance for the future of the group and people ready to come forward to join it.

FRID 11  As our local schools begin a new term and school year, Heavenly Father, we ask that your Holy Spirit might guide governors, staff and pupils so that a successful term is enjoyed by all. Please help all who are new to the establishments,that they might settle in well.

SAT 12  ST. DAVID’S FAYRE O Lord, may your blessing rest on the members of St. David’s in Fron as they run today’s event; grant them the energy and enthusiasm they need and a happy,successful afternoon.

SUN 13 On this Education Sunday, let us commit to God all head teachers, teachers and teaching assistants in their vital work. And ask Him to bless and direct too all who seek to teach people more about the Christian Faith and so encourage the spread of your Kingdom, often at risk to themselves.

MON 14  Thank you, O Lord, for the members of our town councils: may they respond to your guidance in their decisions for the well-being of our communities.

TUES 15  Almighty God, we place in your hands the Offa Mission Area and pray for a fruitful meeting of the Mission Area Committee at their session today. Thank you for the dedication of all who attend.

WED 16  When we are linked by the power of prayer, we hold each other’s hand, as it were, while we walk along a slippery path; and so by the generous bounty of charity it come about that the harder each one leans on the other, the more firmly we are bound by brotherly love.  Pope Gregory the Great 468-604

THURS 17 Let us pray for the farmers in our area as they cope with problems caused by weather conditions, and ask God to grant them the support and encouragement they need.

FRID 18  Let us give thanks and pray for our local ambulance drivers and paramedics in their vital work, and ask that they might be granted the energy, patience and skill they may need.

SAT 19  This coming Monday is designated the International Day of Peace, so let us pray for peace in our world and for those who are working to achieve it, and ask the Lord to help all victims of conflict and violence.

SUN 20  Thank you, Lord, for all our church members who administer the chalice in our Communion Services: may they know your blessing in their worshipful act of service.

MON 21  ST. MATTHEW  Today the church celebrates the apostle and gospel writer , Matthew. May God inspire and help us to use our talents and life in His service and to take a new step in our journey of faith is He so calls us.

TUES 22 Praise God from whom all blessings flow,/praise him all creatures here below,/praise him above ye heav’nly host,/praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

WED 23  Almighty God, we commit to you this evening’s St. Mary’s Church Committee Meeting, giving thanks for the members and their work for the church and asking for your guidance and blessing on their discussions and decisions.

THURS 24  Thank you, Lord, for the work of Chirk Court; we ask you to bless the service there today and grant that those who attend might experience peace and joy.

FRID 25  We give thanks, O God, for those in our churches who monitor and take care of our buildings: grant them the time, energy,  patience and wisdom they need for their important work.

SAT 26  Lord, we bring before you all who live along Bourne Terrace in Fron.  We also ask for your blessing on the couple being married at St. Mary’s today; may the occasion be a joyous one, heralding a life of joy together.

SUN 27  Thank you, Heavenly Father, for our bell-ringing team and their skill and dedication. Please bless them in their important work for church and community.

MON 28  Loving Lord God, we bring before you for healing all whom we know who are unwell; we also pray for the sick treated in our local hospitals and surgeries, and the staff who care for them. We particularly commit to you people who arestuck in hospital because they are waiting for care packages to be arranged or for their homes to be adapted.  We also commit to your loving care, O Lord, all who mourn, that they might know your comfort and strength in their sorrow.

TUES 29  Let us pray for the Mini Markets team , ask the lord to bless them and ensure the continued success of the scheme.

WED 30  As we go about our daily lives in safety and peace, O God, we pray for all whose lives lack these qualities and face a life of fear,  uncertainty and pain.
