Let’s Sing Bee Happy Fill St Mary’s with Joyful Summer Song
St Mary’s Church, Chirk was alive with colour, music, and community spirit this afternoon as Let’s Sing Bee Happy, our vibrant local choir, filled the church with an uplifting programme of popular, feel‑good songs. Their trademark yellow scarves and folders brought a splash of sunshine to the space, perfectly matching the warmth and energy of their performance.
From the very first number, it was clear that the singers were thoroughly enjoying themselves — smiling, swaying, and singing with confidence and joy. Their enthusiasm was infectious, and the audience responded with equal delight. It was wonderful to see so many people gathered to celebrate music together, reminding us once again why Wales is proudly known as the Land of Song.
The choir offered a varied selection of upbeat, well‑loved pieces that had toes tapping throughout the pews. Their melodies filled the church beautifully, rising beneath the stained glass and creating a truly memorable atmosphere. The applause after each item showed just how much the audience appreciated the talent and commitment of these community singers.
After the concert, everyone made their way to the church hall for a refreshing afternoon tea — a perfect way to round off the occasion. The hall buzzed with conversation, laughter, and plenty of compliments for the choir.
A heartfelt thank you to Gaynor, Rona, and the whole organising team for the hard work that made today’s event such a success. And of course, sincere thanks to Let’s Sing Bee Happy for sharing their gifts with us and bringing so much joy to our community.
It was an afternoon that truly celebrated music, fellowship, and the life of St Mary’s — and one we will remember with great fondness.
