Harvest Celebrations at St Mary’s Church, 2026

Join us for our Harvest celebrations this year! Everyone is welcome, and there are more details below:

Foodbank:

Throughout the year we remember people less fortunate than ourselves. At all Harvest Services we are collecting donations. Urgently needed items Tinned ham/ spam/ corned beef, Tinned Tuna/ Sardines, Biscuits & Treats, Cereal, Shampoo & Shower Gel, Size 5 & 7 nappies, Wet Dog Food. Thank you

Chirk Harvest Supper:

Will be held on Friday 2nd October, in the St. Mary’s Church Hall at 7.00pm. Tickets are priced at £5.00, for a buffet type meal and can be obtained from Church Warden or Fine Things. If you wish to bring your own drinks (alcoholic or otherwise) then please do so. We will be holding a raffle, and if you could donate a prize for this we would be very grateful.

St. Mary’s Harvest Songs of Praise Service:

Is on Sunday 4th October at 11am. Please bring your Foodbank items.

St. David’s Harvest Service and Tea (sandwiches, cakes etc.):

Is on Sunday 11th October at 3pm. Preacher: Hazel Lobo (Offa Mission Area Leader). Please note there will not be a 9:30am service on this day.

Flowers for Harvest:

The list for helping with decorating the church is now up at the back of church. We’d be very grateful of help. Donations, flowers, greenery and money are always very welcome.
