As we celebrate the Feast of St Bartholomew this Sunday, I’m struck by Jesus’ words about him: “Here is truly an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” 

Bartholomew’s openness and honesty remind us that following Christ begins with a heart that is genuine and ready to respond. 

May we carry that same spirit into the days ahead.
