Churchyard June News Update
The churchyard team welcomed Gwyl Roche from Green Flag (Keep Wales Tidy) on 21st May. We showed him around and explained what we have been doing over the past year and how we go about doing our projects/maintenance of the churchyard. The Green flag can be seen occasionally flying from the church flag pole.
We held a very successful plant sale on Saturday 1st June. We raised £601 for our churchyard maintenance fund. Thank you to everyone who helped to grow/supply and sell the plants and also to the refreshments team. It is great to have so much support from the local community.
We look forward to welcoming Pentre school children for the whole day at the end of June. We will be exploring the wildlife in the churchyard.
Last month we applied to become part of the Bee Friendly campaign that the Welsh government organises.
