Greetings for Bible Sunday 2026

Dear All,

Please find attached this week’s notices.

Tomorrow is Bible Sunday, when we give thanks for God’s Word.

We all have favourite Bible passages. I certainly do.

I also have favourite prayer about the Bible. It was written by Archbishop Thomas Cranmer for the 1549 Book of Common Prayer:

Blessed Lord, who hast caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant that we may in such wise hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that by patience and comfort of thy holy Word, we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which thou hast given us in our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

As we celebrate Bible Sunday may that prayer be answered afresh for us in our generation that through the inspiration of the Scriptures, we may grow in faith and hope.

With every blessing,

Matt
