     St Asaph Retired Clergy Association will be holding Evensong and Afternoon Tea at St Mary’s Church, Chirk, on Tuesday 8 September at 3pm. Only ten people are booked so far, and it would be lovely to welcome more — you don’t need to be ordained or married to a clergy person to come.      Lantern‑making workshops: for the Chirk Aqueduct 225 celebrations will take place at St Mary’s Church Hall, Chirk on Thursday 10 September and Saturday 12 September, 10am–1pm. Led by local artist Sophia Leadill, these free sessions provide all materials, and finished lanterns will be carried in a special autumn parade at Chirk Castle.
