We held a plant sale at the beginning of June. We raised £957. This money will help fund work we do in the churchyard. It was a great community event. A few people also asked about volunteering with the team as well. Thank you to all who donated plants, bought plants and made it such a great success. The team were finally allowed to meet on Friday afternoons (with all Covid precautions) late April. We have managed to slowly catch up with jobs such as: pruning, edging and mulching the flower beds. We have sown the annual meadow bed and done a few maintenance jobs.

We built a raised bed for Sunday Club children to plant flowers and vegetables in, to attract wildlife and to eat some of the fruit and veg later in the year. They will learn about the environment and how to look after the world around us.

A pied flycatcher has been nesting in bird box and a pheasant nest has also been spotted in the churchyard.

The Toddler group have just replanted their planter with geraniums, which will give great colour to that area.

It’s Your Neighbourhood (Wales in Bloom) are coming in July to visit the churchyard.

We have 2 new volunteers. One to help with the mowing and one to help with general gardening jobs. A couple of other people want to help once a month too. It is so good to have their help.
