Welcome

Regular Services

Visitors are always welcome to our services at Saint David's Church, Froncysyllte. Family Communion is held at 9:30am every Sunday at St David's Church.

On the last Sunday of the month there is either a Family Service or Matins. These are also held at 9:30am.

Harvest Thanksgiving

Evensong and Supper: Friday 25th September, 7:00pm

Family Service: Sunday 27th September, 9:30am

Thank you to all who worked so hard for this successful event.

Local History Talk

By Emrys Roberts at Froncysyllte Community Centre, on Friday 18th September at 7:00pm. Everyone welcome. Admission only £1.

St David's Church Committee Meeting

Next meeting: Monday 21st September at 2:00pm in church.

Church Bell Turret

The bell turret has been rebuilt, and the bell mechanism reinstated at a total cost of about £9000. Let us hope more people will come to church on Sunday morning when the hear the bell rung.

Aqueduct Association Celebration Day

Saturday 3rd October, 12-5 pm at Trevor Basin, to celebrate the World Heritage Site status conferred on Pontcysyllte and the canal from Horseshoe Falls through to Chirk Aqueduct.

Royal Visit Souvenir Book

This attractive booklet is full of colour photographs of local people meeting Prince Charles. Price only £5 - an ideal present for friends and family (think of Christmas!). Available from Fron Post Office, Cakes & Company and Julie Williams.

Cakes & Company

Saturdays and Sundays during summer. 12 - 4 in the Community Centre. Everyone welcome. A fund-raising effort by and for the community.

Prayers and Readings at Sunday morning services

If you would like to join the rotas for leading the prayers or reading the Bible readings at our services, please see the Vicar.

Welcome to the Parish Church of St Mary, Chirk. Our church is part of the Church in Wales within the Anglican Communion: "Catholic and Reformed".

Our Sunday morning worship uses the new services, whilst Sunday evenings and Thursday mornings we use the old prayer book.

Children and families and enquirers welcome.

We are lively and friendly, and look forward to welcoming you to our worship.
