Mothers UnionNext meeting is Thursday 1st December, at 2:30pm in St Mary's Church, for the traditional Advent Carol Service. This service is open to anyone, including non MU members. Parish Christmas Fair - Thank youWe thank everyone who worked to produce the Fair, and those who came and supported it. Mini-Market - Thank youThe final sum raised by the market this year was £3,369.11. Well done, and thank you to all who work on the stalls, give items for sale, and who come and buy and enjoy themselves there. Parish Share 2012During 2012, our parish will have to contribute £32,455 towards the cost of parish ministry and diocesan expenses (£30,429 in 2011) Archbishop of Wales' Fund for ChildrenIf you have a collecting box, please hand in your money before Christmas to the Vicar or a Churchwarden. If you want to start having a box, please ask the Vicar. Christmas ServicesThere are all listed on the Advent and Christmas Services page. Regular ServicesVisitors are always welcome to our services at Saint David's Church, Froncysyllte. Family Communion is held at 9:30am every Sunday at St David's Church. On the last Sunday of the month there is either a Family Service or Matins. These are also held at 9:30am. Tidy ChurchyardsPlease note that Church in Wales regulations do not permit artificial flowers or fragile flower pots or any other objects in its churchyards. Cut flowers or low growing flowers only, please! Full regulations available for inspection from the Vicar. We thank our volunteers for all they do in our churchyards. Church in Wales Churchyard Regulations 2010 (English) (Cymraeg) Church Bell Turret The bell turret has been rebuilt, and the bell mechanism reinstated at a total cost of about £9000. Let us hope more people will come to church on Sunday morning when they hear the bell rung. Cleaning our churchesIf you are able to help, please see one of the church wardens. Welcome to the Parish Church of St Mary, Chirk. Our church is part of the Church in Wales within the Anglican Communion: "Catholic and Reformed". Our Sunday morning worship uses the new services, whilst Sunday evenings and Thursday mornings we use the old prayer book. Children and families and enquirers welcome.
