Mothers UnionNext meeting is Thursday 1st December, at 2:30pm in St Mary's Church, for the traditional Advent Carol Service. This service is open to anyone, including non MU members. St Mary's Mini-LunchEvery Tuesday, 12:00 midday until 1:00pm, in St Mary's Church Hall, Chirk. Keep in touch with your friends over soup, bread and chees, hot drink. Price £2 per person. (Same price as last year!). Please note that we are closed on 20th and 27th December. St Mary's Church Christmas CardsNew sets of cards are on sale at the back of church. They feature photographs taken by Jean Rock inside St Mary's Church. We thank Jean for her lovely cards. All proceeds to the church. St Mary's Church FlowersIt is hoped that congregation members will put their names on the Flowers Rota to supply flowers for a particular Sunday during 2012. Flowers at Christmas and Easter are funded by the congregation Flower Pot. There are no flowers during Advent or Lent. Parish Christmas Fair - Thank youWe thank everyone who worked to produce the Fair, and those who came and supported it. Mini-Market - Thank youThe final sum raised by the market this year was £3,369.11. Well done, and thank you to all who work on the stalls, give items for sale, and who come and buy and enjoy themselves there. St Mary's Toddlers GroupOpen every Wednesday morning during school term time, from 9:15 to 11:15 am. Lots of toys and activities. £1 each adult, 50p each child, includes refreshments. Closed over the Christmas holidays. Parish Share 2012During 2012, our parish will have to contribute £32,455 towards the cost of parish ministry and diocesan expenses (£30,429 in 2011) Archbishop of Wales' Fund for ChildrenIf you have a collecting box, please hand in your money before Christmas to the Vicar or a Churchwarden. If you want to start having a box, please ask the Vicar.
