Greetings for Easter 6
Dear Friends,
As we continue through this joyful Easter season, this Sunday brings us to the Sixth Sunday of Easter, also known as Rogation Sunday. Traditionally, Rogation is a time when we pray for God’s blessing on the land, the crops, and all who work to provide for our needs. It’s a reminder of our deep connection to creation and of our calling to care for it prayerfully and responsibly.
As we prepare to celebrate Ascension Day this coming Thursday (40 days after Easter), our Gospel reading this week reminds us that while Jesus ascended into heaven, He did not leave us alone. His Spirit continues to guide, comfort, and empower us.
Please find attached the readings for Sunday, along with this week’s church newsletter, which includes details of upcoming services, events, and notices.
Let us continue to walk in Easter hope filled with the peace of Christ and open to the movement of the Spirit.
Blessings in the risen Lord,
Gary
